The Challenge

As BioFire Defense prepared to expand into the clinical sector of military health diagnostics, their positioning reached an inflection point. To succeed in this new market, they needed to bridge their biodefense legacy with a narrative that spoke directly to clinical buyers — securing their reputation for quality and preparedness without losing their equity in the military sector. This pivot also required clearly communicating their connection to the global expertise of their parent company, bioMérieux.

Operationally, BioFire’s digital presence was fragmented, relying on ad-hoc outreach and inconsistent content that did not match the sophistication of their products. To support their business goals, they needed to replace this disjointed digital experience with an enterprise e-commerce platform and a structured marketing program built to support active sales cycles.

The Solution

TWIO began with a strategic brand alignment process, conducting internal and market interviews to define a clear verbal brand strategy, a mapped customer journey, and a modernized visual identity; complete with a new logo, typography, and clear brand guidelines.
 
To translate this new brand into an operational tool, we designed and deployed a custom enterprise e-commerce website and customer order portal. Following the launch, TWIO transitioned into BioFire Defense’s retained brand marketing partner, functioning as a strategic and executional extension of their team.

In this role, we manage their ongoing digital marketing — including organic social, targeted paid advertising, and automated email campaigns — alongside the complete design, production, and management of a newly re-branded, print-on-demand sales collateral system.

Building on each concept, M4 provides an all-in-one approach to the themes where the adjoining colors play on the spark, the triad of points lean to the cycle of three, and the pressure rising upward keys into amplification. Offering alternative value propositions within one, this mark is an opportunity to use color as a cohesive storyline giving flexibility in messaging and showcasing the interlocking strength of the brand.
