We are excited to announce that this past weekend, TWIO Partner Alan Stein received a lifetime achievement award from Pittsburgh’s Center for Theater Arts (CTA). For years, Alan has played an integral role at the CTA as both a student and a board member. While he was a student, Alan went above and beyond and volunteered his time every Saturday morning with the organization’s special education program. He has also served in various leadership roles on the board of directors for over twelve years.
This past Saturday at the CTA’s annual fundraiser, family and friends joined Alan to celebrate this honor. “I would just like to thank my community, instructors, and the students at the CTA for the amazing impact they’ve had on me and the lifelong friendships we’ve created,” Stein reflected after receiving the award.
For more than 39 years, the CTA has offered student-centered education to introduce thousands of young people to the performing arts. With a curriculum of more than 80 classes for all ages and abilities, the CTA has been a cornerstone of the Pittsburgh arts community since its inception.
We are incredibly proud of Alan for his hard work with the CTA and we look forward to seeing how he continues to collaborate with the organization and give back to his local community in the years to come.
