Today’s featured topic is a discussion on Destination Wedding Invitations and the best ways of telling that information to your guests.  With all the improvements in technology, brides have the ability to share information online with just a click of a button.  Wedding Websites are a very handy way for the bride and groom to impart information regarding their wedding details. Destination weddings provide even more of a challenge as there can be a need to provide travel, airport and accommodation information as well as inviting specific guests to certain activities but not being all inclusive for various reasons.  A website card solves that problem by providing the website address as well as advising accommodation cutoff dates.

Because you can’t post activities that might exclude guests on your website for all to see, I suggest using accommodation cards that can be included in some invitations for those guests who are invited to specific events within that wedding weekend. On these separate cards, suggested means of responding can be done via emailing or calling while a response set is included for the wedding and reception.  These separate detail and RSVP cards provide the perfect way to deliver information about wedding activities, hotel accommodations and website information in a format that matches and accentuates the wedding invitations motif and design.

This Smock invitation is a perfect example of addressing the concerns brides may have regarding their Destination Wedding Invitation.

‘Pretty’ is one word that perfectly describes this custom invitation suite for Ashley and Robert.  From the elegant fonts and soft purple background wash of color, to the rounded edges and small dots accenting each piece, this invitation is elegant without being fussy.  The pop of pattern in the envelope lining adds a complimentary accent to the eye-catching design of the invitation and accessory pieces.  Smock’s mantra is ‘Customize Wildly’ and their fabulous bamboo papers and letterpress process contribute to the unique look of their invitations.

Happy planning!
